Deluxe Fireplace Suite
Spoil yourself in our Deluxe Channelview Fireplace Suite. This well-appointed, 500 square foot suite has great oceanviews of Departure Bay and Newcastle Channel, a real wood burning fireplace, full kitchen with all new appliances and table and chairs in front of a picture window offering views of the boats and planes in the channel, is beautifully redecorated and has a comfy soaker tub with bath salts making this the perfect suite for a weekend getaway, an extended stay or a great place to entertain your clients in!
Deluxe King Suite
Our Deluxe Channelview King Suite is a well laid out 350 square foot suite with a king bed, large living room, ensuite bathroom and great kitchen layout. Watch the sailboats, kayaks and marine life in Newcastle Channel and Departure Bay from the living room window and maple work desk! Or be entertained by the wall-mounted flat screen tv! This is a great small apartment suitable for an extended stay.
One Bedroom Kitchen Suite
The majority of our accommodation are comfortable 300 to 325 square foot One Bedroom Kitchen Suites with separate bedrooms. Your suite has ample space to work on your laptop, spread out some work, maps, guide books or just relax on the couch with a good book. Need some comfort food, or just want to have a restaurant-free night? The fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need to cook up your favourite meal, awaits you! Don't feel like cooking? Visit one of the 5 restaurants and pubs within 2 minutes walk of The Buccaneer.
When you're ready to turn in, the separate bedroom in each suite, located at the back of the inn, away from the road, with a Plush, Supportive Serta Posturpedic Bed, provides you with a private room to get a quiet, restful night's sleep in. In the morning, enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Tim Horton's coffee or a spot of Earl Grey tea. You can even cook your favourite breakfast if you want!
Patio Studio
Don't need a suite? We also have an economical and comfortable Patio Studio. This 175 square studio is best suited for folks that want a comfortable sleep but don't need the space of a suite. The bonus deck really makes this room larger as you can go outside and relax on the uncovered deck with a bit of a view of Newcastle Channel. The deck is available all year however we only put out the patio furniture when the winter rains stop. As with all our accommodation, this studio has a fridge, tv, coffee maker with a great selection of tea and coffee, books and games basket and ensuite bathroom. This studio also has a small desk with chair and a storage cabinet.
Cozy Studio
Our most economical accommodation is a very compact, 130 square feet, well appointed and organized Cozy Studio. An excellent choice for those that just need a small, clean, comfortable room to sleep in and won't be spending a lot of time in the room! This studio has a very small, but well designed bathroom with a shower, toilet and small sink. There is a small kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and built in tv. If you have stayed in a standard hotel room in Paris, then this studio will be perfect for you. Compact, well designed, comfortable and affordable.
Our Central Nanaimo, Vancouver Island Hotel Location
Our central Nanaimo location is very convenient. We're just 3 blocks away from Departure Bay Ferry Terminal, the closest accommodation to BC Ferries. And we're a nice 25 minute walk along the Harbourside Walkway to Downtown Nanaimo. In our neighbourhood are 5 restaurants and pubs including waterfront dining. Close to the ferry but a bit away from the main downtown area. Perfect!
And our central Vancouver Island location make The Buccaneer Inn makes a great base to enjoy all Vancouver Island offers. Spend a day meandering along Nanaimo’s Harbourside Walkway, hike or beach comb on Newcastle Island, lunch at the Dinghy Dock Floating Pub and enjoy a seafood dinner along the waterfront.
